Your Dog Ear subscription renews automatically each month according to the age tier you've chosen — Sprout, Sapling, Branch, or Canopy. There's nothing to reorder: once you've signed up, we'll pick, box, and send your books on schedule, charging your card automatically each time a new box goes out.

Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

Yes — any time. You're never locked in with Dog Ear. You can pause your subscription for as long as you like, or cancel it altogether, right from your account on our site. Just sign in, head to your subscription, and choose the option that suits you. There's no minimum number of boxes required before you're able to cancel.

How do I skip a box?

If a month isn't quite right — maybe the shelves are already overflowing — you can skip your next box from your account. Find your upcoming delivery and select Skip, and we'll hold off until your following billing date.

Can I change my child's age tier?

Of course. As your child grows into new stories, you can switch tiers straight from your account — just select the new tier and it'll take effect from your next scheduled box.

What happens if a payment doesn't go through?

If we're unable to process a renewal, we'll email you with a secure link to update your payment details, so your next box isn't held up for long. Your payment information is stored securely — nobody at Dog Ear ever sees or has access to your full card details.

What is Dog Ear?

Dog Ear is a pre-loved children's book subscription. Every box is a book that didn't go to landfill, and a child who got exactly the right story at exactly the right time. We check every book by hand before it goes out, so you can expect gently-loved copies that are complete, readable, and ready for their next reader.

Managing your subscription

Everything — pausing, skipping, cancelling, updating your payment method or delivery address, or changing your tier — can be done from your account on our site at any time. Sign in whenever you like to see your upcoming deliveries and make changes.
